Dogs at the beach

Dogs are welcome at the beach of the municipality of Noordwijk. For certain beach areas and periods, rules are applicable, which are important for owners and keepers of dogs.

From the 1st of September until the 31st of May, it is allowed to walk with your dog at the beach, chained or unchained. However, you have to take into account that in this period, there’s an obligation to clean up the droppings of your dog at both boulevards between exit 2 and exit 21.
From the 1st of June until the 31st of August it isn’t allowed to let dogs run freely or to stay at the beach for both boulevards (that includes the beach between exit 2 and exit 21). For the busy beaches at exit 21, the Duindamse Slag (exit 24), the Langevelderslag (exit 27) and both nude beaches there’s an obligation to chain your dog in this period.
